Guest an1mal_69
thought id dig this one out as im having trouble.. found some info for a mk6 but it might work on mk5b. You need to feed the lock wire with +12v then Relay one of the chanel outputs to give +12v and diode the output from the relay to feed 2 fin blue/white wires. To un-deadlock you need to diode the unlock wire from the alarm to give +12v to the cars unlock wire and a fat blue/white wire. All the conections should be made at the factory cdl controle unit in the drivers foot well. All the info I could finde said Escorts didn't have deadlocking till 95 but alarm fitting sheats are often wrong. I can't garente this is right for your car so please test the wires first and dont blame me if you blow anything up. found that in another post..jus to say, my 91 XR3i has deadlocking..!! An its gone a bit tits up. fitted a Toad alarm an all went well until one day i came out to find the passenger side deadlocked aint the foggiest how this happened as the drivers side was ok. The doors have been de-locked so this caused a bit of a problem as i cant lock the car at all now. Well i couldnt, figured out that if i pulled the central locking fuse, it allowed me to lock the drivers door from the fob, but all attempts at unlocking the passenger have failed. Sayin that i havnt had a proper look as of yet, need to get into the footwell an have a probe. anyone know of any wiring diagrams around anywheres..??
