they do sell on ebay, but i have seen a product review and test on one, reduced the cars bhp because it caused an air restriction through the intake pipe,

however there are a few companies which do make some that actually work, i think somone on here told me about them (maby tony)

they are used in the ozzy touring cars and cost a few hunderd quid, unlike the 1s on ebay wich cost about 80-100 qiud,

best of luck tho m8, keep us posted on how ur getting on, should be quite interesting

i tryed to make one of these years ago but the cost of the motor to spin it up that fast is to much.

get a old turbo of the scrapyard and buy some timing gears for rs components. use just the compressor housing

and shaft. make a back plate and fit some bearing to the shaft then put the gear on the back and run it on a belt drive.

i made one a few years back it worked very well but i used cheap bearing. i had to change them about every 4 months

i could get 5 psi easy and that was on a mini with a su carb. if you gear it right you could get 15psi easy.

the turbo was £35

the bearing £15

i got a company with a lathe to make the housing for me for £40

so it was really cheap to make ive still got the housing somwhere ill post a pic if i find it.

I had thaught of useing a turbo and belt drive. it would be just like a supercharger with power straight away and no lag..I have seen quite a few minis with superchargers.

A few years aggo i had a 3 liter granada and stuck a super bonnet bulge on it so all the air was forsed straight into the carbs this worked well as the faster you went the more air.and driveing into the wind was even better

Im doing some serious work on my cylender head this next week but have allready started buying bits & bobs to se if i can get the electric charger together.

Head work ==

porting & flowing everything including inlet manifold

New cam and lifters/followers

New inlet and exhaust valves

top-hat stem seals

New gaskets rubbers etc

I'm nearly finished the head-work so ill be writing a thread on how to do it DIY
