Guest Xr3iInUS
I've managed to pick up a few pieces of literature off ebay, but I can't find an actual brochure in English yet. My car was imported from Germany though, so maybe it just doesn't exist. I'm looking to see what size the gas tank is.... 11 gallons? What size are the rear drums? What were wheel options? All I know is that based on a door tag, it came with 14s. Is there anything on a plate that would give me the wheel type? 1984 1.6i Escort Cabriolet Thanks! Guest Xr3iInUS
Hi Dave - thanks! I think I have that brochure actually. Plus a CARS book from that year. I'm guessing the fleet info is a little different than the regular consumer brochure. 7" makes sense. It seems that 86 was the changeover to 8" drums over here. Is there a way to tell which wheel option would have been original to the car? Is that the sheet hidden in the wings? I see this one a lot, but only in German or Swedish: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1984-Ford-Germany-Escort-Cabriolet-Brochure-German-wu3970-/351143451261?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51c1c7da7d
