Guest AMH1
1997 Cabriolet. Roof has been operated manually for some time. Took the roof down yesterday, and am completely unable to get it back up. It goes most of the way up - but not all the way, The front ends up about 3 inches short of the windscreen - and lower than the windscreen! At the same time, the back window is still sagging downwards, and the supports at the back end are not up high enough. Tried pulling, tugging, pushing from inside - and it just won't do anything different. When you look at the mechanism, you can see that there's a sort-of bolt that slides up a slot and it's not at the top of that slot. So presumably something is stopping it - but we can't see what. Has anyone else had anything like this? This is not a motor problem as the roof has been operated without using the motor for months with no problems. Have also tried completely disconnecting the hydraulic pumps to no avail.
