Hi all, my cabby has a problem when starting, she will fire up then die, if i pump the throttle she will cough and splutter then die! The fuel pump seems ok, it works and switches off after 2 seconds every time i turn the key on, as it should do! The car has some petrol in it, about 2 gallons, could it be the petrol filter?..or any thing else i could do with checking??? P.S. The car runs ok on LPG by the way. Regards David

Thanks for the replies, my car went to a mechanic and he says the wiring loom on the engine and dashboard has been butchered in the past and suggests I scrap her! :-( So... I was wondering if I bought another wiring loom would I be able to save her?.. Any suggestions? Regards David. P.s. anyone got a spare looms or idea of where to buy them???

I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden your loom is gubbedf, try testing to see if you are getting fuel up to the filter, better still try a new one,if no petrol is going to the filter, or verry little, try a live feed to the pump.

hi all, the car in the past has had an lpg conversion fitted before i bought her. there are a lot of wires that have been cut in engine bay, also theres a sensor wire and conector missing from the back of engine near the EFI plate, any ideas what this is for? My rev counter doesnt work or my fuel gauge except the orange light, neither does the front and rear demists. Also 4 wires behind the centre vents in dashboard. I havent changed the fuel filter, but the previous owner said he had changed the plugs, leads and timing belt. so, maybe better if i scrap her!!
