Guest Royv412
Hi ya, I'll assume that the plugs for the front and rear screens are green and blue in colour, i got some switches which came with the wiring plugs with different coloured wires from my mk5, but when I bought the loom the wires matched mine. On each of the screen plugs there are wires going to 5 of the 8 ports, 2 at the top and 3 at the bottom. The way I connected them is as follows. Blue plug on mk5. Top was black/yellow. Space. Black/blue. Space Bottom, brown(thin). Space. 2 brown, 1 x thin 1 x thick. Brown/yellow The two thin brown wires on the bottom connect to each other Blue plug on mk6 Top. Purple/yellow, space. Purple. Space Bottom. Black(thin). Space. 2 x black 1 thin 1 x thick. Black/green Green plug mk5. Black/yellow. Space. Black/blue. Space Brown(thin). Space. 2 brown 1 x thin, 1 x thick. Brown/yellow. Green plug on mk6 Purple. Space. Purple/yellow. Space Black(thin) space 2 black, 1 thin, 1 x thick. Black/green Again the 2 thin wires on the bottom are connected to each other. Fogs. I don't have any plugs with the mk6 wiring colours so all I can give you is the colours from the mk5 and to where I connected them on the plugs Pink plug. Top. Black/yellow. Space. Black. Space. Bottom. Brown. Space. Grey/yellow. Grey/black White plug. Top. Black/yellow. Space. Space. Space. Bottom Brown. Space. Grey. Grey/yellow. I'm by no means any electrical expert and if anyone thinks itsvwrong then by all means correct me, but connecting the wires to these positions on the plugs appears to have worked for me, hopefully it will work for you too. Guest poslla
hi mate in short no had no joy at all with fogs as the my wires are different to what you said and to what it says in the book plus I seem to have 5 wires instead of 4 or 3 but the screens work well the switch lights up so Im guessing they do and all the speedo lights light up and the rev counter works so that's all good I will get these fogs going just got bored changing the wires so left it before I got my hair off and changed it all back also thanks for what you posted the other day it was very appreciated cheers paul
Guest Royv412
I know how u feel I was ready to phone the scrappy to come and take mine away so many times! I'm sure when I took the old switches off I had to follow the wiring loom back a bit and found another wire on both the front and rear wiring which had a plastic connector on it. Took me a few attempts to get them wired up but I've almost got there, just make sure your fuse box has the relay. Roy
