Himanshu
How do you bleed it, would be most appreciated if you could explain? Have got a kit to fit from an auction site and have got to fit it, 5years later to manual hood and convert. Any tips greatly appreciated. Guest Lee81
I use PAS fluid which works fine. The system is self bleeding. You just fully open and fully close the roof until it becomes smooth. This can take many times if theres no oil in the system (circa 20 or 30 cycles) so put a charger on the battery while you do this or have the engine running if your wiring allows. Guest howardfoster
Just spoken to 'CRH Cabriolet Roof Hoses' company - they sell 500ml bottle of VG22 fluid for all cabriolet roofs (£5 + £5 p&p). I was about to order some when I was told that it is ATF - Dexron II or Dexron III. I was also told that it will not attack (soften) the seals in the system. I use Dexron for the Escort power steering (have done for years) - so, yes, power steering fluid is fine.
