Guest Lee81
More than likly be the reverse gear switch located on the gearbox. If a fuse were blown you wouldn't have any lights working as its all powered through the same fuse. Not a big job and easy to test if it is the problem using a piece of wire between the terminals. Also theres no requirement to have reverse lights for MOT etc.
Guest tazanddave
How do u check with a bit of wire? Thanks
Admin Paul Posted August 13, 2012 Admin Share Posted August 13, 2012 Just unplug the plug from the sensor and put a piece of wire across the 2 terminials in the plug. Make sure the ignition is switched on. If youe rear reversing lights come on then you know its the sensor in the gearbox. Very easy to replace.
