Guest Andrew Bennion
Hi guys, Today the 3i has decided it does not wish to start, battery is good and will start when connecting a battery to the starter. Any ideas? Fuses or relays maybe? I will swap the ignition barrel over in the morning. Cheers Andy
Guest theyorkshireterrier
What happens when you try to start it?
Guest Andrew Bennion
Dash lights come on sound, fuel pump primes and then zip - nothing. The starter motor makes no sound at all. I have bridged the starter with a spanner and it engages and I can get the car to run. I have replaced the starter today and still nothing as I suspected solenoid. I have also replaced every fuse and relay. Ignition barrel next! Will report back in an hour.
Guest Andrew Bennion
Ignition barrel - nope! So I have replaced the fuses, relays, the starter, the barrel and still nothing. I have even tried to hot wire it. What a nightmare this car is turning out to be! Anyone local got a match?
