Guest Jasesun
Hi Guys, Head gasket went last week. Coolant disappering and steam coming out the exhaust pipe when stationary. Does anyone have a comprehensive guide for changing one. I have done it before on a mk2 golf but would like to know the best way to secure all the timing wheels before taking the belt off prior to removing the head and any other pitfalls people have come across whilst changing theirs. Thanks in advance. J
Guest Hearsepilot
Depending on the mileage since the last change you need to give serious cosideration to a new belt kit while youre that deep in!

Guest Jasesun
Thanks for the reply. Had the water pump go a few weeks ago and the garage changed that and the timing belt so they have only done a couple of hundred mile. Will have a look on you tube, thanks for that. Half way through at present and have taken a load of photos so i feel a pictorial guide coming on once i,ve finished.
