Escort Gti Cooling Fan Help

Hello all, after my BMW got written off by the insurance, decided to get an Escort Mk6 1.8 GTi cabriolet.

When we got it, the guy said that the cooling fan just stayed on (which he thought was better) but when we actually looked properly, that was the start of the problems... there was alot wrong with it;

Cooling fan doesn't kick in at all now after we've got a new sensor and plugged the wire back in (on the top hose from the rad),

We've changed the thermostat and the thermostat sensor, cos both of them were completely knackered,

& we can't tell if the car is overheating because the temperature gauge doesn't work either,

We are trying to figure out where the cooling fan relay fuse is situated?

Also there's no such thing as heating in the car, as you can turn the dials as much as you like & no hot air or cold air will come out at all.

Can anyone help with any of these problems?

It'll be much appreciated, thanks. icon_smile.gifuser_online.gifreputation.gif report.gif edit.gif
