Guest tbirdbooboo
hi guys me again lol , i cracked on and fitted my new hood the other day but have a couple of issues. no 1 is the exterior screw just after the back windows on each side - the roof doesnt line up by like 2 cm if that and i dont want to force it . no 2 is the problem : the roof closes and opens fine ( manual as i have not fitted the elec system yet ) but when its on and all locked in , i cannot open or close the doors properly with the windows up . the roof seems lower for the first 7 inches or so from the windscreen each side ( pic below - and sorry its massive im still new to uploading pics ) the windows wont go under the lip correctly and the only way around it is to get in the car , open the window and then close it and you have to do this to get out as its stiff to open the door with the window up. but then you cant wind the window up or down from the outside you have to leave the window down a little and then my seat gets wet ! now i know you can adjust the window but then it will be too low all the time and it then lets water in ( yes its raining here ) :-( anyone know what to do ???? Guest Lee81
Every car vary's slightly. The screw may not fit back in the same hole as the car it came off. You can help tension the vinyl with the use of heat from a hairdryer. Some one to help out is a bonus too. That should allow you to fit the screw. You have the roof far too low at the front. You need to slacken off the locking hooks so it lets the roof up a few mm. The hood you have has had new vinyl put on and they aint made a very good job by the looks of things. Also looks like you have a side tension cable gone on the drivers side
