Guest essex47 Posted May 30, 2012 Share Posted May 30, 2012 Just bought a 1996 Cabriolet yesterday. While the seller was showing it to me, the roof seemed to function properly. It's a lovely car in beautiful condition, so I bought it. Drove it home with the hood up and today, with the sun finally shining, tried to lower the hood. No joy. There is a light "clunk" coming from the boot, but nothing else. Checked the pump and the fluid looked to be about half way down so I topped it up. Still nothing. There does appear to be a leak at the pump which the seller conveniently forgot to mention. I've read through the roof problems topics and I've checked the fuses and relays which appear to me to be fine. Can anyone suggest something else that might be the problem. I am mystified that the roof opened and closed without problem yesterday and yet there is nothing today.
