Water pump is peeing out water but engine struggles to start and when driving cuts out and engine shakes like hell, does this sound like head gasket gone to? Guest Alanman Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 If the waterpump has colapsed your belt could now be loose and maybe jumped a tooth casuing it to struggle. 1 tooth out on the belt shouldnt hurt the engine but it would give the symptoms you talk of. It's sould lumpy if this has happened. I'd get it looked at before you do more damage. One way to check if the headgasket has gone is to see if oil filler is creamy.
