i have just today fitted new brake pads and noticed the servo pipe nearly out of the manifold. Does anyone know if you can frplace the push fit plastic banjo type thing in the manifold as the pipe is so loose it practically falls out not to mention causing air leak too.

Doubt you'll find a replacement for that.

I be inclined to use some silcone to keep it in place. Should be able to remove it still if required as oppose to other adhesives

I think I have one of these you can have. If you send me a pic of it I will dig it out this week. I have all the bits from my EFI when I changed it to a turbo.

They are becoming harder to find bits for now I have an exploded view of the inlet manifold with parts listed but it looks like it is part of the manifold.

I have silicones it in for now but was looking on doing a more permanent repair.

I have been looking into taking the manifold off and tapping the same thread as rs turbo servo pipe so it will seal good and won't move again.

Poor design really

I have siliconed the servo pipe in now as there was no getting hold of a replacement unfortunately.

The car is running very poor now, it runs great on full revs and giving it some always hits 100 easy.

Problems start when at a constant speed it lurches forward and back almost juddereing at constant rpm, I am considering putting injector cleaner into the fuel system as the car stood in a garage for 4 years so may have a build up of crap on the injectors.

If that fails i will see about replacing the injectors.

Any ideas on this would be good as the code reader comes back with no faults every time.

You are aware that the vacuum pipe should ACTUALLY be loose when the engine is off and should almost fall out. IT is the vacuum of the engine that holds it in place.

By using the silicon sealant, you have effectively stopped this process and most likely added the air leak, most likely due to the silicone not being completely airtight
