Guest gavwithcab Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 hi guys. i have fitted a 1.8 130ps engine in my mk5 and am having trouble getting it started. i know its getting fuel because i can smell it and can hear the pump when turn ignition on. it just farts and pops evry now and again as if its trying to start. could i have put the vacuum pipes wrong way round or sumthing daft? i know the engine is a good because i striped the car it from and it ran mint. this is first engine change ive done guys and am still learning so take pitty lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
