Guest Mejojo
Need help before it gets worse. The vinyl roof has started to tear by the left roof hinge on my mk6. Is it impossible to fix or is there a way of notching it temporarily. I know it common for em to split there. Or if anyone has a mk6 roof, mohair if poss for sale then will probs consider that root. Just put a new Pump in n got that working then this at start of the play season. Boo!!!

Guest Mejojo
I dunno. Didn't know there was much difference til recently after a bit of research. It's original roof tho so has lasted 14 years or so. I have no idea of the ideal longevity of a roof. Id rather a m

allblue
Black Mohair/fabric roofs are standard on all mk6 cabriolets from mid 1996. But with Ghia cabrios, the original buyer could pick another colour for the roof. If they did it will be a vinyl type roof. Fabric roofs last much longer than vinyl ones and look nicer too, Can;t understand why any first owner will pick vinyl over a fabric roof tho?
