Guest Cooderkey
You should NOT USE ENGINE OIL IN THE HYDRAULIV ROOF PUMP.
Guest Cooderkey
Use FORD PART NUMBER1661100, OR, Cross reference this oil to find an Hydraulic Oil of similar type.
Guest Cooderkey
Engine Oil and Hydraulic Oil DO NOT MIX. If I were you, I would be inclined to strip the whole system down, and try and flush out ALL the Engine Oil. Then install proper fresh Hydraulic Oil. Guest Lee81
Dont think he put engine oil in it though could be wrong. The system is self bleeding so just open and close the roof several times. I have no idea how or why you managed to drain the system.
Guest Cooderkey
The English is a bit broken, but I read the first part as, ' I changed the oil ( for ), the roof opening, to the engine, ( oil). Does the system bled, ( need bleeding ? ), and how do you do it? That was the best that I could make of this jumble:- I changedthe oilthe roofopeningto the engine, If he wasn't changing the OIL for the roof opening mechanism, for engine oil, what OIL was he changing it for? ? Search me.Unfortunately his message return system failed, and with no email address, he is stymied. Or up the creek without a paddle eh?
