Guest Boydy
I need help??? Bought a 86 Se before xmas, the car was stripped and all parts boxed and labeled! so it was like a big airfix kit for me! I have recently refitted the Re-Built engine and plumbed her up for the big switch on! unfortunatly it wont start? if a spray fuel in the throttle housing then it runs great till the fuel has gone? all fuel pipes from metering unit are full of pressure? This car and engine have been sat idle for more than 5 years, is there something i'm missing? Hope someone can help me as i'm stummped!! Guest Boydy
I was out in the garage yesterday and started from the begining again? and i think i've found the problem!!!!! i noticed the fuel was getting to the metering unit but not to the injectors? Not sure what its called but the disk plate in the air box which lifts up and down, DOESN'T! i lifted it a few times and felt some pressure, turned the key and and she fired first go! but then cut out after a few seconds? how does this work?
