can anyone help with a small problem i am havin with my 1.6 1990 efi it keeps throwing oil out the air filter i have changed the swilpot but still it keeps doing it its abit on the annoying side as it leaves a mess on the drive in the garage and anywhere i park it please help thanks dave :steeringwheel::convertible::trafficlight::crazy::salut_gb:

CVH engines are renown for this. Its the piston rings that have worn slightly.

 

The breather setup is frankly crap and barly works as standard. The slight ware on the rings allow more gas bypass into the cylinder block. The breather system can't cope and so it pumps oil up the pipework and into the filter. The MFI ones suffer most as there breather setup is even worse.

 

There is a good solution to the problem and that is to fit a bailey breather setup.

 

As fitted to the rs turbo or maybe better in you case fiesta rs turbo breather setup due to yours being EFI. This will stop the problem you have

i will try this with the breathers and let you know but it will after be later in the year my wifes renualt as just f@@@ up and its goner cost some stupid money but thanks 2 all for help i just love my cabbie cant seem to part with her :steeringwheel::drivin::salut_gb: :salut_gb: thankyou all again
