Guest sirtrhud Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Hi, My 1988 MK4 cabby requires a new instrument panel due to peeling of the decals which stops the dials from working. I have been to several scrap yards and looked on ebay. However the ones I have found have the temp gauage on the right and the fuel gauge on the left mine is the other way round. Does this mean that the one I have is modified (as it has white dials) or was this a difference between early MK4's and late MK4's. (The only instrument panels I have found are black). Guest wildsquaddie Posted October 30, 2011 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Hi there, I found this on a previous post.. Pre 1988 had the fuel on the right, post 1988 had the fuel on the left. It does not say anything about what month in 1988, Ive got 1986 my fuel is on right, I'm looking for new rev counter as my spring as gone in mine, theres not many about. I have been told about a scrap yard in banwell (near weston super mare) who just breaks escorts. If he has some do you want me to get you one too?
