Guest mic
hi if i wanted to change the cam is it an engine out job or can it be done with it left in place and just strip off whatever is in the way? cheers
Guest tony.rose
Hi, yes the engine can stay in place; if your thinking of a racing cam you will need the complete kit to get the set up right after installation.
Guest mic
im still thinking about the mini engine which is an engine out job but in a cvh its in the head isnt it d'oh! if i was to change the cam + manifold to a 4-2-1, i assume the ECU would sort the fueling out if i set the timing?! Guest tony.rose
No I think you would have to map the ECU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest AstonB
I was told by LarkSpeed that the ecu would sort itself due to map sensor, i wasnt 100% on this so i thought best to get it checked after fitting. I already have 4-2-1 and 2 inch system so cam is next on the list. A decent tuner will know the answer but its best to get it checked over and setup anyway after fitting cam. If the car had a MAF sensor too im sure it'd sort itself within a certain amount. Mines EFi too.
