Guest mac
can anyone help ,my suspension on the rear seems to be abit too soft! if i have one or two people in the back of the car the wheels will just be under the arches not to sure if most cabrio's are like this ,but is there anyway of sorting this without getting aftermarket springs i dont want to lower it as it will be a nightmare with the speed humps etc! will i need a new set of ford rear spring? iv also heard that the rs turbo springs are alot stiffer but are 10mm shorter is this true? the car is a xr3i with 16" alloys. Guest Lee81
The standard ford springs are soft and if there still original will be alot weaker after 25 years of abuse. Your best of getting a set from eibach. They can supply both lowering and normal springs or anything inbetween though they charge you for it lol. Also wise to replace shocks at same time for new if there still original.
Guest mac
didnt know eibach were still around! will give them a call next week and see what they can do for me, iv got a set of bilstien rear shocks on order ,think the shocks have been on there since the car was built same as the springs so will see what they say and go from there. thanks
Guest Smiler
The rear springs on the cab should be Orion/Estate spec to account for the extra weight. Bear this in mind when ordering aftermarket springs.
