Battery Draining

please could some one help me every time i leave my car the battery goes completly dead ive put a new battery on ive checked every thing is turned off my car was broken into the steering lock was broken a and there is a red and black wire lose its not connected to the ignition there above the steering colum and i have no idea what there for

i have the same problem with my mk5xr3i cab, i have to disconnect the battery when not in use, pain in the a**e i know. i think its something to do with the fusebox. will let you know when i get paid so i can sort it.

dont mk5,s have a fuse box issue where the water goes into it fooking it up? :unsure? sure i read it on ere some where. :steeringwheel:

my car is also a mk5 i found out that it was the starter moter solinoid staying on all the time i have fitted a switch on the powerlead from the battery to the starter moter as a tempery fix untill i get a new starter moter and it has been working fine i just turn the switch off when i leave the car
