Guest Smiler
Hello folks, I can't remember if I've already posted this on here but as a large proportion of the cars on here use this system, I thought there'd be no harm in mentioning it again. A year or so ago I added a dumbed down guide to the workings of the Bosch K-jet mechanical fuel injection system (Mk 3&4 XR3i for those who weren't sure)to my website which has proven quite popular. Please take a look via the link below if you are interested. Bosch K-jet Guide Cheers, Smiler.
Guest Smiler
19 views now, has anyone found this guide usefull or interesting? Are there any areas that could be improved or in need of better explanation (whilst trying to keep it simple)? All feedback greatfully received. Smiler. Guest Lee81
Seems simple enough. If you add how to resolve common problems. Eg reseting fuel pressure. Setting system when tuning has been done etc. Should be all anyone will need to know
Guest Smiler
Cheers. I was planning to do something along those lines when I get time. Sadly a lot of diagnosis with this system involves pressure gauges and adaptors which most diy enthusiasts don't have. There are some things that can be done and a list of synmptoms that I'm sure could be drawn up. I was also planning to expand it to cover the KE-Jet system too but again it's finding the time. I've only just restarted the gearbox rebuild guide on the site. Thanks for the feedback, Smiler.
