Guest Ryan
Try valvoline 5/w30 I've found its good for zetec engines unless the engine burns oil then you will find that it will use a lot of oil. i am a mechanic so if you have any more questions feel free to ask me! Guest Rustler
Thanks Ryan... Haven't looked at VALVPLINE ,but will investigate.....Yea, seems that 5w-30 is the correct grade, but some oil companies I've contacted have suggested 5w-40 .....due to the higher temperatures out here in S/W France, and the fact that the "CABBY" is only used in the 5mth "High Summer Period. No! at only 42k mls clocked so far,(it's a '92 Cabby) ..she doesn't use any oil in the summer period. Just an oil & filter change every MAY.. Guest Rustler
Well... seems that 90% of the guys on "THE OTHER" forum are adamant that it's best to stay with a 5w-30, and if posible with an oil thats specific to Mr Ford's spec..ie.."WSS-M2C9113-A etc so have gone with "Ford Formula F" 5w-30 Fully Sy...Good buy to,on offer at "PAYNES of HINCKLEY" for only £16.35 for 5Lts....thats approx 30% off the going rate... ...............Rustler.........
