Hello

Can anyone help me please!!!

I have a Escort calypso P reg, power hood, and the seal keeps coming up just when i put the roof up just behind the nearside rear window, i have tiger sealed it, and put a self tapper through the seal (under the plastic cover) and it still comes up!!

I have examined closer and it seems that a brace/ram/hinge may be pushing it up at this point, anyone heard of this before? does it make sense? and anyone know what i can do???

Thank you.

no frame is straight enough, it looks to me like theres a knuckle of a ram or something pushing it up, all i can see is a shiny black thingy kicking it up, it looks like a knuckle from a ram/hinge!!!!

Might be worth checking the "T" key on the roof motor (by the canister in the boot is fully in the right position.

A long shot is getting the rear 1/4 card off (bit of a git) and checking the 3 gold coloured bolts are all sitting right and flush - think they are a 17mil socket and only 3 that size where you should be looking. They hold the bracket that holds the roof in place when it goes up and down.

Good luck in finding the fault.

Just read your previous reply, the ram is attached both ends behind that 1/4 card. Both 13mm sockets. Check the bottom one is in place. I swapped a roof over today - I'm not normally this technical
