hi my mk4 escort cab is sat to high at the back 4" gap between tyre and wheel arch with 15" alloys thought it was the shockers so change them for some new rs turbo ones and its just the same do i get lowering spring nexts or have you any other suggestions

Something not right there, are the springs sat in the right place, up the right way and is the rubber ring thing up the right way?

yep everything on right put new one on same as took other off always been that high just dont know why ? starting to think it might have wrong springs on, the wheels are leaning out so wears tyres on the inside

I wouldn't even drive the car like that. The suspension angles are going to be way off normal sat that high. Get a decent set of springs from someone like Eibach. Will only set you back around £100.

 

The front springs are longer than the rear ones. It looks like maybe they have fitted front ones on the rear.

never thought about that if they same size just longer then they might well of done that thanks for the help i will get some and see if it drops it lower
