Guest derrick Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 help my windows keep letting in water and i cant seem to set them right the drivers side window has a gap next to the windscreen pillar and wont sit right the passenger window travels too far and sits on the outer edge of the roof rubbers and i have to let the window down and raise it to seal so no water comes in ive spent a good few hours trying to get them to sit right and they wont any help guys as my missus is fed up with a wet bum . Guest corrie Posted March 5, 2011 Share Posted March 5, 2011 i had this problem with my mk5 and what i done was take the door card off and remove bolts for the window mech and make them a little longer so the window can go higher. also if the seal around the screen is distorted it causes this to happen too. but at least mine is water tight now. also if your passenger window is coming up too high then you need to lower the mech a little to get it right. hope this helps.
