Guest br1gg5y
We are SKINT. my wifle filled her MK6 cab up yesterday. And 2 hours later the clutch went. Clutch can't be repaired till pay day 21st. So how do I get the fuel out of the MK6 it use in the fiesta???? Syphoning from filler won't work. Have tried, it has a one way valve in place. Admin Paul Posted February 9, 2011 Admin Share Posted February 9, 2011 Best bet would be to remove the pipe from the fuel pump and drain it.
Guest br1gg5y
Looked at the connector feeding into the pump. How does it come off? Don't fancy breaking it
Admin Paul Posted February 9, 2011 Admin Share Posted February 9, 2011 Not sure on the MK6 mate. The MK4 have banjo bolts i think
Guest br1gg5y
managed it in the end. The filler pipe from the fuel cap to the tank is a solid plastic piece. But next to it runs another plastic pipe from the tank to the filler cap. But this time it connects to the tank via a rubber hose about 10 inches long. Held on at both end by jubilee clips. So removed that and luckily found some clear pipe from when I had a fish tank so used that. Have filled all my jerry cans.
Admin Paul Posted February 9, 2011 Admin Share Posted February 9, 2011 I think that is a breather pipe. Glad you got it sorted
Guest mossyxrt
fittings on the mk6 senders are a pig, had to remove tank on my gti to weld up rear chassis and had to get second hand fittings from breakers as ford dont sell them seperate anymore, you have to buy complete fuel lines, and when removing them from sender the clips hardly ever release and if you mess about with em to much they break,
