Guest Tuft
It's obviously getting power. It sounds more like a mechanical problem. I know they have a silicone fluid damper in them so I am wondering if the cold weather could be effecting it. If you brought the clocks into the house to warm up for a bit then after being sat for a while connect them back up and try straight away. It's only a thought but worth a try as quite straightforward I had a tacho once that managed to get passed the rest pin so I had to manually turn the needle one full turn to get it to work correctly again. How weird is that.

Guest corrie
this is a common problem on these im affraid especially if the clocks have been removed to replace bulbs and have been tipped upside down, as the silicone fluid leaks out and renders the rev counter useless the only way to fix the problem is to replace with another set but if you do source a set of clocks i dont advise you getting them posted to you or you will end up with the same problem as the parcel companies will turn them upside down without knowing the damage that is caused to them. so if i were you i would source a set from a breakers.
