Guest Delboybully
My car wont start. The first problem i had was that when the ignition key was turned on, the starter didnt engage, not even a click. This happened a couple of times (once to me) and each time getting out of the car, locking the doors and then unlocking them solved the problem Then the locking/unlocking of door wouldnt solve the problem. So i called the AA and the chap suggested it was the immobiliser not working properly (it is a rubbish immobiliser and i am having an alarm fitted). To start the car the AA man put the ingition key to on and then put a piece of wire accross the starter motor terminals (this would spark when connected) which would start the car. He said the new alarm would solve the problem So i used the car yesterday and the wire across the starter motor worked, the next time just turning the key started the car. then it was the back to the wire, and then even the wire wouldnt work!!! (all i get it a click from the ingition key, and only occasionally do i get a spark when i connect the wire across the starter terminals. The only way to start the car is to jump it. My thoughts are the starter is duff, although the AA man said the immobiliser was causing the problems Any ideas?

Guest Delboybully
well i will find out soon enough. The auto electrician who is fitting the alarm is going to look into the problem. He is also going to look at why the clock dont work, what is exactly wrong with the heater fan. He is also going to look to see if the passenger wing mirror (manual) still has the cable to connect an elctrical one to it- the dirvers side is electrical
