Car Wont Start After Dash Removal

Hi there, I am new here so please bare with me... so I recently got myself a Mk5 cabby, after removing the dash ready to be replaced with the MK6 version it wont start. Is there an immobilizer or something that could be effect by me removing the dash?

does it have a chipped key and if so have you re-fitted the transponder ring back round the ingnition barrel???

No there is no chip in the key... so I dont think this one has pats or a transponder - any other ideas?

what exactly is the problem ? is the starter turning ? is anything else working or not working correctly? and was anything unplugged during the removal that wasnt plugged back in?

I'm starting to think the fuseboxmight have been disturbed hereor the earth connection on the passenger side kick panel has been disconnected or knocked during the dashboard move?

you might beonto something with the earth... have noticed i have a black earth wire screwed on behind dash clock that is not conected to anything at the other end, any ideas whre its supposed to conect to?
