Guest anton1
Hello everyone. Can you change the oil pump with engine still in car and is it difficult? Any tips to make it easier? Thanks!
Guest Lee81
Yes you can. Assuming its cvh. Slacken tensioner bolts. Remove the cambelt. Then its just a case of removing the bottom pulley and gear wheel which slides off once the nut is undone. Remove the pump bolts and it will slide off over the end of the crank. Make sure you clean the block up good where the seal fits and be careful not to get any debris in the oil ways
Guest anton1
Thanks mate I will give it a try. Also will I need to replace the seal/gasket with a new one? I'm changing it because the top end is noisy and I think it may be oil starvation?
