Some pics would be best to see what has been done.

Check all breather pipes for blockages and also check one way valves and foam elements that may be in place in the hoses. The foam can break down.

What mileage has the engine done?. I know on the MFI ones when the engine starts to breath heavy from wear it will fill the air filter housing up with oil.

hi go on ebay and buy a oil catch tank and take it off the air filter or take it out and put a small k&n type on as the oil is being sucked out when you put your foot down you will have oil smoke when driving from tale pipe

as said check all the main breather pipes around the engine for blockages. it will only take a slight blockage to cause big pressure.

also when was the oil change last. if its never been changed it could be going sludgy causing pressure. either way its not good and will detroy your engine
