Guest oddjobrich
May sound daft for some but i have a 1.6 efi with a shot engine.im finding it hard to get a cheap replacement.mine has the starter fitted to the front of the engine and am hearing different versions.1 is it doesnt matter as the starter fits to the gearbox the other is the engine must be one where the starter fits the front.Does this matter or not?.Secondly and mainly i am finding plenty of of zetec engines at the right price.Mine isnt a zetec but wondered if i could fit a zetec without any difficulties. If i added all the ancilliaries,ie injection manifolds etc would i get away without having to change anything else.Hope theres loads of help out there for me.many many thanks Richard
Guest s6boy1979
Have you looked at xr2i/fiesta rs turbo engines as they are the same. The zetec swap is not that hard and there are plenty of sites about that show you how
