Guest shaneb677 Posted May 11, 2010 Share Posted May 11, 2010 ok went to battlesbridge show sunday car was fine on the way there no problems at all when show finished got in to car drove of no problem but every time i stopped at lights/ junctions the car is just reving its nuts of i cant understand its been fine was hoping someone was just having a laugh with me dont understand how it could be fine going there then be like this when show finishes not going to go to santapod with it like this could of done with out this Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Lee81 Posted May 11, 2010 Share Posted May 11, 2010 If its efi you could have stuck of broken idle speed valve. When mine went on gti it was fine day before. Got it to drive next day and it would idle at around 2.5K. Got a new one and problem solved. For a temp fix. You could just take valve out. Make sure its closed and then not plug lead back on. It wont idle well cold but once warm should be as normal.
