I don't know if the loom you have in yours is the same as the efi as I know nothing about mk5's really but if it is you will need a map sensor an ofab or ofac ecu both work but need different mods to the loom for each one, you also would need the efi inlet manifold fuel rail injectors etc and your new engine must have a crank position sensor in it if not that can be fitted but you would need to change the flywheel aswell.

A breakers would know what you mean with the ecu's and there is alot of info about rst conversions etc dotted all about the net some of which can be really enlightening and go into detail about making the different ecu's work aswell as other bits.

If I knew more about the mk5's I could of been more helpful...

Your best off finding someone who is breaking a fiesta turbo and taking everything you need. The loom, ecu, sensors, fuel pump, injectors, inlet. Probably the engine also so you can just transplant it and make sure everything works. Then worry about fitting the new engine. If you have a T3 turbo you will need to get a ecu chip programmed for this or have a mapping session on the original as the fiesta ran a T2.

Ofab ofac are the two standard ecu's fitted to fiesta turbo's. Can't remember exactly but one has more detail on the maps and is better for mapping.

If your engine is the escort one then you will need and adapter plate to fit the inlet from the efi as the heads are different. You will also need a efi flywheel so you can get the crank position sensor to work. Or fit a aftermarket one to the crankshaft pulley end.
