Hi Guys

Need some help please..........

Took the old lady out for the first time in 4 months at the weekend and managed to go a mile before i noticed the temp had gone into the red.

Upon inspection i noticed that the bottom tube under the rad was leaking so i have replaced that and have just tried to top up with water and i now have water pouring out from somewhere under the exhaust manifold

Any ideas what the problem may be

cheers

chris

mk 4 90 mfi or efi?

Hi Shaun

It is a mk4 efi and i think you are right as i eventually found a nice round hole in the side of the block under the exhaust manifold.

I added more water and it all flodded out of that hole, so a core plug it is.

It then took me 10 minutes to get my arm back out minus skin !!)

Looks like a long winded job to remove everything just to replace the plug................

Many thanks for your help, much appreciated

Cheers

chris
