Guest Cabbytech
I have never personally done this conversion but I believe there are 2 avenues for you to look at, the first one is a power steering rack off a mk5, along with the bottle and pipes, pump and pulley etc, (i think the pump and pulley can come from a ka or fiesta as well) i do know that this method has been done before, and i think the rack has to be rethreaded to accept the mk3/4 track rod ends, hopefully someone else can confirm or clarify this, the other option is to try and find a disability escort, some of these had a conversion done where PAS was fitted, but obviously these cars will be like rocking horse you know what to find. Guest KarlosG
3rd Option is to use a Corsa D electric PS column and controller, you fit it inbetween the top and bottom of your current column and make up a bracket to secure it to the pedal box/bulkhead, can even be wired to the speed sender on the gearbox (if you have one) and be variable or you can set the assistance to a level of your choosing using a varible resistor!
