Guest jamesabrown
Hi All, I have a problem with my lovely car and really need to see if anyone can help me because like most people at the moment I cant afford to take my car to a garage! I have a mk4 1989/90 escort xr3i cabriolet and I love it to pieces, its the 1.6 efi version. Over the past few months it will occassionaly cut out and then not start for a while but I just got back off holiday a few weeks ago and now it wont start at all I have checked a few things - It has a new battery, alternator, service, plugs etc and their is a spark when turning over the engine but unfortunatley it just wont start - i am also preety sure that fuel is being pumped but for some reason its just not firing or starting up. Please can anyone help me? I thought maybe the Crank position sensor but as far as i know or found out recently it does not have one! Can anyone help? Thank you so much. Guest Cabbytech
hmmmm, it could also be either your cold start valve or the warm up regulator that is causing the problem,
