Guest Smiler
I've done this to my mk3 but mine has standard wings on. The mk4 liners will fit but you will need to drill some screw holes. Also, on the mk4 front wings the inner return lip has a tang on it that slots into the arch to help with location. The mk3 arch return lip obviously doesn't have this but a good smear of rubbery sealant both resists chaffing and helps to grip the liner keeping it in place. There is a guide on my website www.EscortUpgrades.co.uk In fact, here's a direct link to the page in question: Arch Liners Hope this is of some help. Smiler. Guest Smiler
All mk4 Escorts have them as does the same shape Orion. If you ever find a 1.6i Orion in the scrappers by the way and the braking system is still complete with the resevoir cap firmly secured in place, grab the master cylinder from it. It's bigger than the Series 2 RS Turbo version. If the brake system has been compromised then don't bother. Brake fluid is hydroscopic meaning it attracts and absorbs water. This then corrodes the internal bores of the master cylinder and callipers/slave cylinders.
