Guest clacky
Hi Guys and Girls Need some help !! I would like to remove the 2 front doors, is there an easy way to remove the pins or do i need a special pin removal key. (Have tried to drift them through but a little afraid of mushrooming the top of the pins and then i would never get them out ) Ideally i dont want to go down the remove the hinge nuts from the inside of the dashboard etc as they are buried well deep and i'm not a contortionist ))) ....... All help appreciated CHeers Chris
Guest dee1orean
I tried to remove the door pins with a universal pin removal tool but had no luck, ended up removing the bolts from inside the car, soz mate I know it's not what you want to hear but may be the easiest way. Guest clacky
Thanks for the reply, not what i wanted to hear but maybe its the only way !! Seems a real bad design by Ford as there appears to be plenty of room to have the nuts on the outside of the hinge.... :taz: Am I am right in thinking that the top pin should be removed in a downward direction and the bottom pin is upwards , after removing the tiny circlips that are at the top and bottom of the pins?? Might just WD40 them and then bash the crap out of them with a large drift bar :teu26: :teu26: Cheers Chris
