Guest pauls0701 Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 well picked up the new car tonight and was rather scary driving it home. when pulling away all is fine then when you change in to second gear and let the clutch up it pulls violenty to the left and again the same when going in to third but dont do it going in to forth or fith and again when changing down doesnt do it in to forth but does in to third second and first any one got any idea what it could be?????? sorry should have said its a mk6 1997 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest pauls0701 Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 ok well got up early this morning and swapped the tyres round and now have matching ones on front and matching ones on rear all going the right way but its still doing it so the wife is off to work in the morning with a shopping list (she works for motor factor and gets everything at cost price) cosisting of 1. new lower front wishbones both sides. 2. new shockers all 4 3. new standard springs, beleive ones on there could be lowered 4. new track rod ends anything else i sould put on the list that anyone can think of???? Guest pauls0701 Posted September 30, 2009 Share Posted September 30, 2009 thanks guys for all your help handling problem now sorted and it was the wishbones didnt bother putting shockes and springs on after seeing the state of the wishbones when i took them off. also had to fit new brake pads and discs as one side the pads had parted from the plate and the disc was shot which was caused by the flexi pipe breaking down in side and holding the brake on so all in all its had new wishbones new discs new pads new flexi pipe new temp sender (not sorted the problem) all this and it was moted less than a week ago not so sure the mot was very legit Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
