Guest Binners
Hi, Can someone with greater knowledge of Escorts than me please tell me where I find the ICV on a 1.6 CVH EFI Engine fitted to my 1991 Escort Cabriolet? Is it difficult to get to, if so, I would be pleased to get a brief description of how to remove it. I have read many threads here about this troublesome part and think I have one of the symptoms. Starts easily every time and idles reasonably well when hot or cold , but when travelling in slow moving traffic (or speed limits!) it gets very jerky and its difficult to stop it kangarooing. It's not very bad, but very annoying and I'd like to resolve this. If anyone can post some information to tell me where to find the part I have gathered enough information from the forums to clean it up and check whether it's faulty or not. I have only had my cabby a few weeks and am enjoying reading the topics here and what you are all getting up to. Regards Alan
RobMk4TwinCarb
A haynes manual will tell you and probably help alot in the long run. On mine it is on the left hand side (as you look at it from the front)of the inlet manifold, you can't miss it if it's there, has a plug and hose attached. They can also be attached to the air box I think again it would have a plug and hose attached havn't had one with it in that place so couldn't tell you exactly.
