Guest richyp Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 ive just brought a 1995 1.8 si cab with steering issues and got underneath to have a look and find it needs 2 bottom arms when it comes to fitting them i realise why i got it cheap some stupid tw@t has rounded of 2 of the 3 bolts holding it on ive managed to get the front bolt and balljoint off but im stuck as to how i get the rear bolt which goes in to the subframe any one had this problem????? and how can i get it off any ideas would be much appriecieated also im after a set of cheapish wheels if anyone has any Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest SteveB Posted July 22, 2009 Share Posted July 22, 2009 check the top of the bolt on mine it had a nut holding it in place you may be able to remove it that way it will defo take longer but if thats the only way you can get them off i would also reccommend that these bolts are replaced everytime the wish bones are replaced keep us updated on your progress i need to do mine this weekend so will have another look too good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest markeyboy Posted July 22, 2009 Share Posted July 22, 2009 failing that you could drill up the centre of the bolt (pretty sure they are not hardened) and get an easy out in there, or even and rather gingerly drill enough out to expose the threads and pull the remains out, heating it up isnt really an option under there cause of the oil and crap that would have made its way down and around the area Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
