Heater Probs?? Pic Included!

Hi, i'm new to the forum so just want to say hi :icon_salut_gb: ! didnt know if any you guys have had this prob, ive just put a reconned engine in me cab (mk4 '89 xr3i) running lovly with no probs apart from i aint got no heat (lol i know its summer but nice to get everything fixed) done the usaul things bleed the water system ie runnin it up to temp with the water cap off, flushed the heater matrix with a hose?! checked for blockages but still nothing also replaced the thermostat checked that the flap isnt stuck in the open position under the heater motor all other pipes hot too apart from the heater pipes?!?!? althouth i have 'bodged' a joint togther using a copper 'T' piece not ideal but hey lol....anyway blabbin on a bit now i'll let the pic do the talkin lol

are you sure the matrix isnt blocked? i know you say you have flushed it as thats the only thing i can think of

thanks for the fast reply, well i thought this too but b4 the engine went in the heater was excellent, and as i sead when i flushed it with the hose b4 water came out the other side it sounded as if air was trapped in there but water came gushing out the other pipe clear?! as i sead a bit baffled tbh but the its almost as if the water isnt getting into the matrix take all the pipes off and hot steamy water comes out of the pipe from behind the inlet manifold.....really doin me nut in LOL :wacko::wacko::sad:
