Guest swampy83
Right as most of you know by know I've bought rambo's mk6 and of course I now have the roof problem (there is a post on this before my time) now he has explained what seems to be the problem i think the quickest way to getting it working is to make a new loom any ideas on how to do this ? All help is welcome and will be greatly appreciated.

Guest charlie74
have you read the old post? cause a solution was posted there for it, dunno if rambo's tried it though, cabbytech suggested this,, On the Mk 6, cut the blue wire off about 2/3 inches down from the roof switch, isolate the blue wire that was going to the switch, i put mine into a scotch lock and then shrink wrapped it. Then simply connect the blue wire from the switch directly to a good earth point, then you will be able to open and close your roof with the ign on and engine not running or with the engine running..obiously if you want to operate the roof with the engine running, i would strongly advise that you pull over before operating the switch...this cured the problem of the roof not working with the bonus of being able to operate the roof with engine running hope this helps.................. if that doesnt cure it then i would suggest a trip to an auto electrician as most of the other options seem to have been tried, they arnt that expensive and saves having butchered wiring floating about tbh,, but then im not confident with car electrics )
