Guest banburycab Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 hi all . went out for a drive in my xr3i cabbie saturday when the engine let go on the m40 . got the car home had a good look but didnt find anything wrong . so i took the head of only to find a big hole in piston no 3 does anybody now why this might have happend . also looked at top of pistons to see if thay were std to of them have no 2 on and the other to have no 3 on . there are some numbers on them but nothing to say std . does anybody no what to look for so i can a price for a re build as thay will want to no if its been done befor . many thanks grant Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
