Guest dgs Posted May 1, 2009 Share Posted May 1, 2009 my daily runabout escort zetec 1.6 wouldnt start thismorning,it sounded like my starter was dead so i whipped it off. if i connect it directly to the battery the cog engages and spins nice and freely so i asume its good. the battery has around 13 volts with the multimeter so thats ok,and so does the wire conecting from the ignition to the starter. i just cant understand why the motor is spinning slowly with the feed from the ignition but fast direct from the battery,even though the voltage is the same. ive also tried another motor from the scrapper and its the same. need some ideas please Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
